Tired of the same old 4-digit passcode? Go to Settings > Passcode and turn off Simple Passcode. This will allow you to use as many numbers as you want in your passcode.
Listening to a song on Safari? Double-click the home button, go to music controls, and press play. It also works on the lock screen.
To set a sleep timer for your music, toggle the clock app > timer > “When timer ends” > “Stop Playing” > Start timer. Enjoy your music.
Hang up a phone call and lock your screen at the same time by simply pressing the lock button.
Do you have hundreds of unread emails that you don’t feel like opening? Reset the new message counter by clicking Edit > select first message > hold down mark button > Mark as Read
If you type a number incorrectly into the calculator, don’t hit clear! Simply swipe left on the display and the last digit will be erased.
Hitting the call button on an empty dial keypad will bring up your last call. Just hit call again and you’ve got redial!
JAILBREAKING
Jailbreaking your iPhone allows you to customize settings that are previously not editable. To do this:
- First, back up all your data. Go to Settings > iCloud > Backup and select “Back up now”
- Disable the passcode. Go to Settings > Passcode
- Turn on airplane mode
- Download Pangu 1.1 and iTunes 12
- Once downloaded, open Pangu
- Plug your iPhone into your computer
- When Pangu recognizes your phone, select “Start Jailbreak”
- Click “Already did”
- Tap the Cydia icon to prepare the file system
